WELDING

Joining of plastic materials by means of welding. Four welding techniques to grant precision, cleanliness and resistance in the joining of thermoplastics.

WELDING

When the topic is the joining of thermoplastics, GS Finishing Machines can apply a great variety of welding techniques. With the solutions of GS Finishing Machines it is possible to weld with the following methods:

  • hot plate welding
  • infrared welding
  • ultrasonic welding
  • spin welding.

The most suitable welding option is chosen evaluating the following factors: material, shape and technical characteristics of the components to weld, production volume, level of automation and price. Our technicians are at disposal for technical advice from the very initial choice.

The welding devices of GS Finishing Machines are customized on the shape and dimensions of the components to weld and can be applied in various industrial fields, but the main one remains the automotive industry.

Among the automotive articles welded by us we can name engine clear-air pipes, engine dirty air pipes, tanks for liquids and fuel, oil pan, various other components of the engine compartment and of the interior compartment. These are anyway just a small example of the many articles that can be welded with the various techniques, since the joining by means of welding can be carried out on all components made of appropriate thermoplastic materials.

The articles that can be welded can be produced by means of injection moulding, extrusion moulding, compression moulding, thermoforming, blow moulding, suction 2D/3D (2k) and rotational moulding.
