PAD PRINTING

Pad printing, also called tampography, happens by contact between the surface of the component to mark and the marking device. The device is made by a cliché and a tampon. The cliché has the shape or string of fonts to mark engraved on it. Its surface is first inked and then cleaned. Then the tampon is pressed against the cliché and catches the shaped-ink that it then transfers to the component to mark, by being pushed against its surface.

With pad printing it is possible to mark concave, convex and irregular surfaces, since the tampons are made of silicone and adapt easily to any shape of the article.

It allows the neat and coloured reproduction even of the smallest tracts with a good resolution.

With pad printing it is possible to mark alpha-numeric codes, fixed texts, production and serial codes, bar codes, 2D matrices, logos and graphic configurations in general.

With pad printing it is possibile to mark articles produced by means of injection moulding, extrusion moulding, compression moulding, thermoforming, blow moulding, suction 2D/3D (2k) and rotational moulding.

Among the components marked with pad printing by the customized machineries of GS Finishing Machines there are the following, listed as an example: tanks, pipes, air conveyors, locks and light cases.
