LASER MARKING

Marking of plastics without contact and without using additives.
Laser marking produces permanent markings of various shapes and dimensions.

LASER MARKING

Laser marking happens without contact between the component to mark and the marking device. The component is actually marked by the heat generated by a laser beam, aimed towards the marking area.
The laser produces markings with high contrast.

Laser marking is permanent: resilient to scratches and corrosion.

With laser marking it is possible to mark alpha-numeric codes, fixed and variable texts, progressive numbers, production and serial codes, 2D matrices, logos and graphic configurations in general.

Depending on the request of the customer the following markings can be carried out: well-visible markings of high aesthetic degree, markings of small dimensions that are visible only by using a magnifying glass or markings in hidden areas.

By adjusting the laser characteristics depending on the request of the customer, the laser-marking devices installed by GS Finishing Machines produce various kinds of marking.
The laser marking techniques are the following:

  • carbonization in black
  • whitening
  • alteration of an additive in the material
  • physical alteration of the surface finishing
  • engraving of grooves by vaporization
  • controlled modification of the component surface by fusion.

The laser-marked articles can be produced by means of injection moulding, extrusion moulding, compression moulding, thermoforming, blow moulding, suction 2D/3D (2k) and rotational moulding.
